As part of the COVID-19 Investment Response / EU4Business Recovery project, funded by the European Union and the Government of Germany, and implemented by GIZ, the results of the Welcome to Konjic project were officially promoted on June 16th, the Day of the City of Konjic. The City of Konjic also provided financial support for the implementation of this initiative.

The overall goal of the project — led by the PRVI KORAK Economic Development Agency Konjic (main applicant) and the NGO Naša Perspektiva (partner) — is to enhance the management of Konjic as a tourist destination by establishing a tourism cluster that will improve promotion efforts and introduce new services for visitors and service providers alike.

Within the D-0 ARK / Tito’s Bunker site, numerous activities were implemented to adapt and improve the facility and to expand the scope of its tourism offer.

Key project achievements include:

  • Mapping of tourism potentials and stakeholders

  • Development of a Marketing Plan for the City of Konjic

  • Establishment of the “Welcome to Konjic” tourism cluster, serving as a platform for connection and synergy among local tourism actors in creating a recognizable destination brand

  • Adaptation and equipping of a Visitor Center within the D-0 ARK / Tito’s Bunker, featuring a unique space for presenting the area’s cultural, historical, and natural heritage

  • Creation of a promotional video and launch of the web platform www.welcometokonjic.ba, designed to unify the city’s entire tourism offer and allow potential visitors to explore and select activities based on their personal preferences

  • Organization of the 8th Neretva Media Regatta – Welcome to Konjic
